As others have said, it's not a behavior, it's a style of clothing d: I personally wear lolita because I like the silhouette and attention to detail; however, as lolita isn't really a subculture (it's just a fashion!), you're barking up the wrong tree if you want a unified group of answers. There are as many different reasons for liking the fashion as there are lolitas.

Their Japanese site is the best place to check. If you scroll down a bit, there's a column on the right labelled "news" and clicking on it will show you the latest series before they come out :) You can then e-mail a shopping service or AP US to reserve an item!
