All right, for the reference of anyone who might search this later: ordered from here, for a total of roughly $71 USD, and they do accept payment through paypal for the extra security.

Intuos3 Pen--where to get one at a good price? 14 Art Discussion 1/15/12 8:30pm

I've honestly searched the entire apartment several times now, including moving furniture, looking under things with a flashlight, and looking in places that make no sense. No luck at all. It's driving me nuts, because I haven't lost a tablet pen in 12 years, and now I can't find mine.

Wrong line though, unfortunately. Intuos4 isn't compatible with Intuos3. (Which is unfortunate, because Intuos4 things don't seem to be out of stock.)

I've been away a while, not fully up on the current rules, but if there's a way to do that without violating the ToS here I would certainly be interested!

I've looked everywhere I can think of, multiple times, over the course of about 2 months now. The only two things I can think of now are that either the cat knocked it into the trash and I didn't notice before I took it out, or it's somewhere here that I just haven't seen and I'll find it as soon as I get a replacement. Really I'd rather not spend the money but after about half a doze ...

Comes out to over $70 with the shipping on the sites that have it in stock on there, and is out of stock on several of them. I tried that one already, thanks.

Okay, getting fed up with google at this point, there's got to be some good sites people know about out there that have decent prices. I've lost my grip pen for Intuos 3 and don't want to pay an arm and a leg just because they're out of stock on Wacom's site. I want a place that--with shipping--will sell me one for less than list cost of $70, and preferably using Paypal to pay. eBay is overchar ...

There's a very good chance that if you contact Wacom or the company that makes the software you're interested in (in this case Corel), you can download the software from them. Additionally, the "trial" version of software is often a full version that needs a serial code to be fully activated, and can be downloaded from the site then activated with the serial code from your disk. It's a good workar ...

@Sei: Hopefully in 2012 I'll make it again! I just need a year off... this'll be my first year missing Ohayo since I started going, which is kind of sad, but it's been getting rougher and rougher to swing so many and I need a breather. :) I'll miss you too! @Muffin: I'd do Geek.Kon if I wasn't cutting back, it looks like a good one! @All: I always get nervous before a con. Every time. :)

...Really. It seems to me like all the posts here are overreacting. Long con? It's a normal length one. Long would be four or more days. :) Three is completely commonplace. Four people in a room? God I would love to have a room that undercrowded. That's room to spare, is what that is. Don't want to carry a bag? Whoop de do, you don't need one. Here's some tips for you: EAT. Whether ...

Good luck on that! Incidentally, pawn shops and secondhand stores might also be a place to look for cameras. The one I use now is along the lines of what you might find in a place like that (ie twice the age of the average Gaia user) and works quite well. (I actually received it free, from someone whose wife was making him cut down on his camera collection; he found out I was looking for one ...

@Skye: I... I don't even know. A lot, but not as many as some have, and sadly the numbers seem to be going down with a lot of the people I know lately. @Jilly: Well, beyond that, things didn't go well enough and it may not be feasible for them to actually put that con on again. This is the second year it didn't go well (and with conflict between the two years, beyond what most people are aware of ...

...While Nifty explained it accurately, it wasn't a good explanation for a beginner like you, this might help. What your prof has you looking for is a 35mm camera. This refers to the type of film inside (standard film is also known as 35mm, and these days it's colloquially become a distinction between film and digital cameras). What NIfty was referring to is the lens, which is a different m ...

Really, just make sure you're getting one that's in good working order. I previously used a Vivitar that was probably about 30 years old at the time it froze up and finally died. Worked great. I currently use a Mamiya-Seikor that's about 30 years old now, and it works great. As long as it's in good shape, you're set. (I personally lean toward ones that don't require a battery to operate, and the ...
