Definitely. Furry can mean something totally unique to each person who is interested in the subject. For example I felt much the same as you, on the fringe of the fandom or the like, but after my first Anthrocon I really felt like the community was something I should belong to, and it was then that I decided to truly call myself a furry. But just the same, it doesn't take being a close pa ...

I do have some really precise measurements drawn out, but getting them the right shape will be tough. I've got to apply them at an angle because the foam isn't terribly thick. I suppose I could form a couple of thicker blocks and then cut it out...

Just got the last bit of my fur! It's a tad bright but I think it'll do well enough. It seems to match my SL avatar pretty darn well at least, so that's something. Well, here begins an incredibly difficult project. Hardest part is going to be correctly measuring the head and cutting the foam. I have a hinged resin mask base but it needs chubby cheeks.

Consider looking at what religions around the world do to find fulfillment; not to follow them, but to understand how they work. Although I'm not religious I do quite like eastern spirituality because it's more about becoming a better person or living in harmony with nature. Those things, I think, are much more healthy than some psychotic overlord people are supposed to love out of fear. It doe ...

Meanwhile richer entities get to disregard much of their theoretical tax rate from the safety of their air-conditioned offices and get more service in return. If that friend of yours were sick or injured and unable to work, he'd be s**t out of luck despite how much he pays in taxes. Meh, here we are in this pointless dance again when we both know this is going nowhere fast. I give.

Ah sorry, I was referring to their progressive tax rate and social services. If referring to corporate freedoms, then that example with Germany and the Thai baht is a nice one I can remember offhand.

The US has much more of one than it should have. Free trade and competition really do produce a lot of nice things. But if things are too free we get heartless moves like this buyout, or politicians-for-hire. And if we leave things like public health and utilities up to private industry, they screw people over for profit and thrive on social instability. One could say it's merely the moral ...

Thailand's economy had been strengthening and in-turn the surrounding countries' quality of life was looking up, including Vietnam. They were on a course for prosperity. And then private companies in the USA and Germany planned a buyout of all Thai currency, which would have been very profitable for them at the time, but would have devastated the Thai economy. Thailand pleaded to the US ...

Corporate freedoms and the free market. They are an abomination to society. Now sure, free trade and the like; a little bit of competition can lead to some nice things. But society should be built around working for the betterment of society; not the chaotic mess where the only rules are what the rich and powerful dictate. Most other issues stem from this.
