I'm not severely allergic to anything. Blackberries make my throat itch and hurt. Spinach makes my stomach hurt. Any kind of meat, really, makes me need to sh*t right away, but I don't consider that an allergy, really. Chocolate makes me itchy, and then I itch and it swells up. I'm not sure what penicillin does to me, but I'm allergic to it.

No, I think it's that they're worried about cutting being too dangerous. For example, if you cut, you're at risk for infection and it may be too deep. Rubber bands and ice cubes? No harm done.
