A question regarding Japanese 20 Chatterbox 3/27/15 1:22am
Miyu~the-spiri...
To the right of, in vertical (top-down right to left) alignment; above in horizontal (English-style) alignment, yeah. Those little kana (called furigana) are there to help readers read the kanji. :3nod:

Oddly enough, they don't. The 3DS system menu uses kanji; and the game's onboard manual uses kanji + furi; but the game itself uses kana.

With regard to dare specifically, it's one of the most recent additions to the joyo kanji list, back in 2010. As such, you still won't encounter that kanji very often - though if you want to learn written Japanese, it is one you should keep in mind. :3nod: You might also encounter donata (どなた or 何方) for who, but this is a mark of rather polite speech and only rarely as kanji. ...

I figured that went without saying, since all observation must be interpreted.

Birds came from dinosaurs - and therefore birds are dinosaurs, for the same reason that you are a synapsid. That's what science is currently saying, and it makes sense in light of observation.

1. I don't know what that game series could be, but it's not Pokemon. Ash is always 10; but Red (Gen 1) is 11 as defined in the game manual, and Hilbert and Hilda are 14 per word of god (though designed to be closer to 16.) The others are undefined, with no good reason to assign them as 10 rather than more like 12. :3nod:

Trap card activated. :P 2 isn't SMT, owing to the fact that I've never touched any game in that franchise. Exactly! I had fun writing those two descriptions - making FF4 sound like it could be Skyrim, and Kirby like Pac-Man. The other two, to save time, are Pokemon and Street Fighter.

If Jesus came from Heaven 16 Chatterbox 3/21/15 9:04pm
anonymous attributes
I know. I needed the two scenarios to make sense of the hypothetical, because "if Jesus came from heaven and looked at the world" (being the world of today" either is or is not the second coming. Thus, my first response-hypothetical assumes that it is not the Second Coming - and how Jesus, as described in context of his original coming - would react. For your purposes, my explanation tran ...

If Jesus came from Heaven 16 Chatterbox 3/21/15 9:04pm

I see it in one of two lights. The first assumes that Jesus is coming for, let's call it a "second first coming" - and that he is aware of whatall happened during his first first coming. In this view, I'd think Jesus wouldn't care too much about "the world" - secular politics weren't of much interest to him. He would be disappointed that his original message has "evolved" into the thousandf ...

Scientific Biblical superiority of its TIME: Christianity. 57 Extended Discussion 3/13/15 2:23am

Not of mountains that are entirely underwater. That's the source's claim, and the specific point of dispute since that's what "undersea mountains" means. Jonah 2 cannot establish this. As a hint: it'd be better to use the flood narrative to argue undersea mountains, as that narrative proposes the flood as their cause. It'd have its own problems, but vagueness wouldn't be one. :3nod: Sp ...

Scientific Biblical superiority of its TIME: Christianity. 57 Extended Discussion 3/13/15 2:23am

First off, let's get this out of the way now: This is one version of your source. Its key claim is that these various points are: 1. Accurate to modern science; and 2. Original to the Bible (that is, that these things were not known about before being revealed in the Bible.) The source says unique, but original would suffice. OP samples twelve of these. Spoilering for length. It's ...

If you don't want to answer due to it not being in line with OP, fine. But you'd do better for yourself, and the faith you represent, if you leave the rest of the baggage out of it. Please do keep that in mind. I said "Rome did not establish """"Christs"""" teachings." Yes, and I expanded to make sure that you understood what I meant when I used the word "establish." We'll leave it at tha ...
