God must be a Universalist and not lose any souls if he is m 33 Morality and Religion 8/27/14 2:11pm

No you ******** aren't. I have said REPEATEDLY to demonstrate HOW YOU CAN DETERMINE THAT IT IS THE BEST POSSIBLE END WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SET OF DATA. You have nothing else to examine, i.e. you do not have an ability to examine a world where we are what we are not in this world. You only have THIS world...meaning you only have ONE THING you can examine. BEST is a COMPARATIVE TERM. You c ...

The only thing I wasted time on was talking to someone who has no ability to prove any of what they are saying. I repeatedly asked you to demonstrate how you can possibly determine the "best possible end" when only have one set of data to work with, and instead, you give me bullshit. Flowery bullshit, but bullshit nonetheless. So, drop the poetic nonsense and explain how you are determining ...

What Do You Think Is Next In The Evolutionary Process? 21 Morality and Religion 8/27/14 10:41am

First off, provide evidence for your assertion. Secondly, even if you were right, there is still a change in gene frequency over time....which is the definition of evolution.

Where Does it Say The Earth is Only Thousands of Years Old? 53 Morality and Religion 8/27/14 10:39am

Most atheists come from religion...and in America, that tends to be christianity. It is disingenuous of you to dismiss someone else because they don't believe the same thing you do, even if they have done more research into it than you have (which, I know of a lot of atheists who have done extensive research into the bible). So the right time to not believe someone's claims is when they ca ...

Why should I believe in God? 45 Morality and Religion 8/27/14 10:35am
XxRagingHomose...
I wasn't...I was a believer because my MOM told me to be. God had nothing to do with it. Also, that brings up another question....let's assume you are right, and that god convinced you to be the denomination that you are....does that mean every believer is convinced by their particular god, even if they don't share your specific beliefs? If not, are they listening to the wrong god? How can ...

I have a feeling it isn't going to do much, but go ahead...give it a shot. All natural claims of gods, are testable. So by "rephrase," you meant make it incomprehensible? By "natural claims" are you referring to impact? Because as I already pointed out, we can only test the impact. But, even so, if the god is natural, then it cannot also be supernatural. A god is not limited to su ...

I've demonstrated the things I've said. You haven't. If I'm wrong, demonstrate it. If they are beyond nature, they have no impact, and no impact is as good as not existing, You cannot determine that. There is no way to examine something that exists beyond nature. For example, let's look at god...THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT A GOD EXISTS...however, until such time that the claim c ...

Well, considering you bring up the fact that there are other points that you are intentionally not responding to, instead of just ignoring them and moving on without telling me (because honestly, I probably wouldn't have noticed if you didn't say something) leads me to think one of two things (note: I'm not making dichotomy...there could be other answers, but these are the only two I can thin ...

First off, that isn't what I was focused on. Secondly, YOU HAVE NO WAY TO DETERMINE THAT IT IS THE BEST POSSIBLE END! There is nothing that you can compare it to. You only have one set of data. With only one set of data, claiming it is also the worst possible end is just as valid. Life seeks to live and not die. Almost everything that has lived on this planet HAS died...also, what a ...

Well, you can say it all you want...you'd still be wrong. I am not arguing what you think I am in this case. Idc how 'beyond nature' they are. If its real, the real side to it is testable, end of story. If they are beyond nature, then by definition, they can't be tested with any sort of test that would actually provide evidence for the claim. Unless you can give an instance a real ...

Probably because you are demonstrably wrong and can't come up with a counter... No, if you claimed to read minds, they could eventually develop brain scans, or other methods to determine if you are crazy, lieing, or telling the truth, in fact there are brain scans to determine if one is lieing. All the brain scans would show are what centers of the brain are lighting up...they wouldn't ...

It depends on the definition of vampire. There are people who claim they are vampires, yet exhibit no supernatural abilities (even if they claim that they do), so it's more of a social thing. Then there are those who engage in vampirism (drinking of someone's blood)...however, they are not doing it out of the need for sustenance, and it's more of a fetish thing. But when we're talking about ...

Which, AGAIN, you would not be able to test that they are GOD. At best, you could demonstrate that they have some sort of powers. That's still a far ******** cry from proving that they are god. Which means anything real, or that we can interact with, is able to be experimented on, which is a factual statement. Yes, you can do TESTS on REAL THINGS...but these TESTS cannot tell if somet ...

Which there would be no way to test that they are A GOD. At best, we could only test that they can do something extraordinary, but that's a far cry from proving that someone is a god. Some were claimed to have used relics. If such a relic is ever found, supernatural or not, it can undergo testing. Which WOULD ONLY VERIFY THE RELIC. It wouldn't verify ALL THE CLAIMS made about the reli ...

Actually, it does. We live in a world where animals consume each other for sustenance. A "best" hypothetical situation would probably involve one where every animal can sustain itself without the need to harm others. Also, again, demonstrate how you are determining that these are the "best ends" when you have nothing to compare them to. Look at everything at the same time. not just a few ...
