In fact, honey is pretty awesome -- so long as it's sealed, it can never go bad! If you have some in your pantry that has crystallized, don't worry. Let it sit in a pot of warm water and the crystals will vanish. It's said that eating honey every day can help the immune systems of those with pollen allergies .. but only unfiltered local honey, which can be more difficult to find.

In addition to mint, honey and cinnamon have been known to help upset tummies. Honey can also be used as an antiseptic on open wounds.

Moa birds (mentioned in my earlier fact), a giant predatory flightless bird that could grow up to four meters in height, were still alive when there were humans around! They are believed to have been killed off by local tribes called the Maori. source

Bamboo -- although they are a "flowering" plant -- flower very infrequently. Some don't flower for as much as 150 years, and then when they DO flower, all of the plants will flower at roughly the same time, no matter where they are in the world. FREAKY PLANT CONSPIRACY. |source|

Research and dialogue! :D I like this thread even better! RF: Drinking pineapple juice can help soothe a sore throat. Unlike orange juice, pineapple juice has a natural pain reliever in it.

It's possible to be genuinely unable to distinguish "right" and "left" -- there are tribes of people who reference direction only by cardinal directions -- north, east, west, and south. They can always tell what direction they are looking in and can tell you only things like "it's to the south of your hand" or "it's to the west of your shoe."

Huh. I knew that, but I thought it was only SOME of those kinds of frogs. Is it all of them? I know my brother had a toad once that he had to handle with gloves .. RANDOM FACT: Cats actually have EXTREMELY good memory. It's thought that their memory is even better then that of a human's, especially their short term memory.

The eyes of babies aren't so good when they are first born. They can't see very well far away or up close: their range of vision is just about the distance from their face to their mother's when held in their mother's arms. In other words: they can see just well enough to see mommy!

Moas are giant, flightless predatory birds that -- while extinct now -- once lived in Australia. Some types could be as big as twelve feet tall and weigh up to 500+ pounds! (I won a trivia round with this answer once!)

Cheetahs are one of four cat species whose claws do not retract, but are visible all the time, like a dog's. This is thought to help provide traction when running -- they simply do not have the little folds of skin in which the claws of any other cat sit.

This poem actually changed history! The USS Constitution, first launched in 1797, was a warship that was scheduled to be dismantled around 1830. This poem was published shortly in first one, and then a bunch of newspapers all over the US, and public outrage generated by the poem saved it. Today it is a museum and the oldest commissioned ship in the world still afloat.
