Cailean walked off to his workshop, feeling proud he;d found a new friend, and hoped that this year would be full of new things and experiences.

Cailean smiled, "That's good to know," he looked to her, "I am glad to have you as s friend, it is nice to know someone who is so helpful, particularly when you know so little of me." He felt something, a small warmth growing in his chest. What was it? Affection, maybe? He would have to ponder on the feeling a while longer, but in the meantime he woudl try to pay attention to the lecture.

"That is good to know," Cailean nodded, "I don't do well with people of nasty demeanor, no, I don't do well at all." His mind returned to the dark place he'd come to know so well, and he frowned, "I have no desire to feel that way again," the sneers, the hands, the pain slipped right back into his memory, and he shuddered.

Cailean smiled, "That's okay, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, right?" He looked forward as they approached the large building, "Wow, bigger than I expected. You say you've been here before? How are the teachers? He tried to take in every detail, and, failing to do that, he settled on gawking, "So much to take in."

Cailean looked at the map, now in its correct position, "This DOES help, thank you Cal," he gave her a brief hug, giving of an oddly sweet smell of honeysuckle, "Now, lets go straight ahead and go to class." Cailean looked surprised, "Really, he is an imposing man then?" He still followed as he could, and noticed she released his hand with a blush, "Are you alright? You seem to have turned red." He looked to where other students were rushing, "You are right though, we should speed up and get to class." He quickened his pace, easily keeping up with Callie, "If you're feeling winded we can slow down?"

Highly surprised at her actions, Cailean let out a startled cry as she dragged him off to class, "Time for class already? I don't know if I'm ready for this. Whoa, slow down Cal!"

Cailean gave a small smile, "It is okay, I do not mind listening. Father always said that someone who talks a lot is very happy with their life and wishes to share it with others. I do not mind hearing what you have to say Callie." She didn't seem to mind when he called her that once before, and so now he was going to start calling her that and hope she wouldn't mind.
