I had a stuffed baby kangaroo I called Joey when I was so young I hadn't even started pre-school yet. I took him absolutely everywhere with me. When we went to the airport to pick up family that was visiting from Seattle, WA, I ended up leaving him in the waiting area. We went back to look for him, and even went to the lost and found, but he wasn't there. I was inconsolable for days.
