Ugh. Post something on topic or not at all. Also check under the control panel, in the sound options. For some odd reason it may not have the right soundcard (if you have more than one installed) selected, or some settings may be wrong.

A quick test for the speakers: grab a pair of headphones and plug those in.

if your computer is old then the speakers probably worn out or maybe your plug is bent or broken inside or something

I had a problem like that. Try restarting your computer and then before windows starts up click "delete" find your sound card, disable it and then restart your computer again. Then do the same thing and enable it again and see if it works. What's your sound can by the way?

Added to the above, something could also be wrong internally with your speakers. Might want to get those replaced. It might be expensive, but if you relaly ened sound, it's worth it.

A list of what you should do: 1) Check every cables. One or more could be damage. 2) Make sure the your speaker are plug in the right jack on your soundcard. 3) If your speakers requires power, make your that it is pluged in the wall. 4) Check the soundcard drivers in your Windows, there might be a problem with them.

No problem at all :mrgreen: ! But there is an other thing that I need to tell you. You should have a lot of RAM memory or a good graphic card ro both, cuz the latest DivX and XviD codecs are heavy on a system. I have seen a different when I upgraded my old ATI Rage Pro II with 16 MB to my ATI Radeon 9000 Pro with 128 MB. Trust me ;) !
