My problem is a little more beyond that. I am generally good at getting the creature base to look good, it's the add-on that I can't seem to figure out. Say a creature has a pig-ish face. Should he have an earring? Maybe a nose right. Maybe both with a chain between them. Or a big scar across his left eye and sorta pull the lids closed? Or maybe an eye patch. What are you looking to draw exactly? Anime, realism, chibi? Each has their own look. For realism though, my honest opinion would be to draw it, flip the image horizontally (assuming your using a program), and then look for issues. I'm sorta the same way, so I know how you feel. One thing, DON'T DELETE IT. I don't care how bad you think it is, don't delete it. If anything, add another layer and fix the mistakes you see. You'll eventually train yourself to do better. Also, your arc doesn't have to be one stroke. Feel free to go over it 5 or so times till it comes out how you want it. One thing to try is to pick a character you're good at drawing, either your own OC or a fandom, and go around drawing them in different forms. It's actually fun cause you'll see which ones you struggle with and which come to you rather naturally. Always have to make sure. I've spent too much time developing a good idea to have someone drop cause I didn't add tons of images to my post. Anyway, did you have any plans for the warrior and companion of the high court one? Or the other with the knights wanting to prove themselves? Also, do you see these as more realistic plots or would there be elements of fantasy?

I so agree with you. Nothing against those who prefer to be concise with their posts, but sometimes I just want to write a novel without getting three sentences in reply. Another thing, when coming up with an idea, make sure to have a good and bad role. Like, a character who is abused by everyone in his/her life and another who is adored by all. And be sure to suggest that the other person plays the bad role. Cause, you know, your character could never be the drugie drop out who steals to support their gambling addiction.
