I don't know the dates behind the photos I see or which one is most recent but in the photo where she is apparently on the Today show she is morbidly obese. I'm not judging the why, simply observing the reality. It isn't 'shaming' to wonder how they will address her being Leah in her present body condition. Her book came out in 2008 so possibly that photo is 5 years old and she has lost ...

The part that pisses me off is the unlimited line skipping.... Lines are long enough as is, having people constantly get in front of you, well the line will be stationary or actually MOVE BACKWORDS. I don't think it's fair, if they took this part out of the arrangement then I wouldn't care either way. Well, I'm not too worried about that because it is self limiting. In most places it appears ...

Well, TBH I wasn't aware she was that overweight, just older and less attractive. But after I googled on her name one of the 'suggested searches' at the bottom of the page was "Carrie Fisher fat". This site has some good comparison photos: http://washedupcelebrities.blogspot.com/2011/05/carrie-fisher.html It also has some fairly even handed discussion about her life and career. I didn't ...

I don't know what is currently happening in CA but cows on our dairy farm in WA state had it pretty good. They had their loafing area (barn with sawdust to relax in) and grass pastures to wander around in. They would willingly come in at milking times because it takes the pressure off their full udders. Our beef cattle had it as good too except for the obvious downer of being butchered at the ...

Did not know about this. Sad. For anyone interested - wiki article here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bile_bear Even sadder is modern technology / pharmacology has eliminated the 'need' for bear bile.

And old and unattractive? :) I know - "Her space ship crashed a number of years back and left her scarred and unable to exercise". I'm not trying to be cruel because I looked better in my youth as well but I don't have that kind of role to reprise. Frankly all three of them (Fisher, Hamill, Ford) all have a lot of miles on their faces / bodies. At least I am used to seeing Harrison Ford a ...

They did make some reference that they felt it was intended to weed out the older employees. Whether due to looks or due to the added cost of keeping a senior employee who often has higher wages / more benefits. Frankly it is understandable. Wrong but understandable. If your premise is 'boobies sell product' then it is really no surprise 25 year old boobies might be more attractive than 45 ...

My senior year of HS I signed up for a math class called 'consumer math' because it fit my schedule and I thought it would be interesting. Turned out it was 'bonehead math' and literally started out with addition and subtraction. Drooooooollllll.... Fortunately I was allowed to spend my time reading in the library and just turn in all the assignments once a week. Now, to be fair to the ...

Now I feel old. The last time I visited a major theme park cell phones did not have internet access. In fact, cell phones as we know them did not exist. Possibly a few rich people had those handheld 'bricks' of yesteryear. Once I made the mistake of going to Disneyworld on a holiday. Probably it was Memorial Day because the reason I went then was military in uniform got in free. OMG it ...

Well, 4 years in jail might be some deterrent but I'm guessing when you are moving that many exotic illegal animals "fine of 40,000 baht ($1,300)" doesn't mean squat.

Well, you know, after all the non-Muslims are dead, and after all the Muslims who disagree with them are dead, then it will be pretty peaceful. :) 'Generous citizens of Aleppo, disbelieving in God is polytheism and cursing the prophet is a polytheism. It's already been pointed out but .. pol·y·the·ism - The belief in or worship of more than one god. a·the·ism - The theory or be ...

The complaint I have heard - even from folks in Gaia forums - is that the slowest kid(s) set the pace so that for gifted kids it was extremely boring. I kind of experienced that in the 7th grade. Not that I was a prodigy or anything but due to changing states and changing from private to public school my 7th grade math class gave me a book I'd already had in the 5th grade. Even after bumpin ...

While his attitude is less then appealing, I have always felt like this is how the internet works. To my understanding as a non-computer type person, I thought your ISP could always be looking over your shoulder as to what you did online, you were always being tracked by Google/Bing/etc along with whatever 3rd party advertisers that stick themselves to the site you're on. I can and do some of ...

Translation: "We ignore the hell out of the filthy non-paying peasants who dare to complain." But MachaGirl is right. It does seem to be the same thing as first class airline tickets, so all I can do is shrug. Honestly I don't like amusement parks as much as I did as a child, so this isn't particularly troubling to me. Yeah, I mostly agree with that - at least for the way Universal has ...

Legal Guns en Route to New York Are Cause for Arrest 22 In The News 6/12/13 1:11am

Ultimately it is the gun owner / citizen who is responsible for verifying the gun carry laws of the state(s) they are traveling to. Still, it seems kind of lame no one at the airlines tells them. Especially at the NY end when they are picking up their guns. On the other hand it is NY. You'd think folks would double check. Legal Guns en Route to New York Are Cause for Arrest Before Flight Home ...
