The part that pisses me off is the unlimited line skipping.... Lines are long enough as is, having people constantly get in front of you, well the line will be stationary or actually MOVE BACKWORDS. I don't know what is currently happening in CA but cows on our dairy farm in WA state had it pretty good. They had their loafing area (barn with sawdust to relax in) and grass pastures to wander around in. They would willingly come in at milking times because it takes the pressure off their full udders. They did make some reference that they felt it was intended to weed out the older employees. Whether due to looks or due to the added cost of keeping a senior employee who often has higher wages / more benefits. Frankly it is understandable. Wrong but understandable. Ultimately it is the gun owner / citizen who is responsible for verifying the gun carry laws of the state(s) they are traveling to. Still, it seems kind of lame no one at the airlines tells them.
