i just stick to the default brushes mostly
it's only as difficult as u make it while sai is just limited as hell
and ugh trying to do any studies on sai was so irritating
TOO MUCH BLENDING and the overall smooth look looks so unnatural and odd to me.. maybe that is just me

it isn't really difficult at all, imo though each has their pros and cons..
i used SAI forever but how smooth everything gets and the blending gets kinda annoying..
also it's kinda limited and annoying to customize
i guess SAI is good when you wanna make really clean anime style cg's though
