I'm another one of those who thinks that first-person shooters are overrated. I'm not going to call out any specific franchise in particular; I think the whole genre is overrated. I tried the 10-day trial and it seemed like a pretty good game. Felt like WoW used to before they made leveling super-fast. I really liked their version of the talent/skill trees, and as a WoW player it was nice that the UI things and controls were pretty much where I was used to them being. I can't play "them both" because I only have the time for one and don't feel like paying multiple subscription fees. I haven't really found a F2P game that I like that doesn't quickly become pay-to-win (maybe Firefall will change that), but I haven't looked very hard since I already have one MMO taking up all my time.
