People "cuss" to express severity of a situation.
In many language there are no "curse" words, and words that are considered "curse" words often have little to no use in the language. (e.g. To say crap in some languages means only excrement, unlike in English when it can be used to indicate the condition of an object, eg, that looks like crap)
Other than that there's no real reason, other th ...

From my ethical standpoint, evolutionary biology, yes. As long as you are more fit.
It all depends on how you feel about it. Granted someone else may feel differently than you, but who cares (ethical egoism)? Unless you think that because someone else has different cultural standpoint on an issue, and you should respect that (cultural relativism), you should consider the ramifications and make ...

It might have to do with the refining process. Keep in mind if it releases super dangerous, or super deadly chemicals, the company refining it, has to have permits to deal with those dangerous chemicals, tons of equipment to dispose of it, etc etc.
It costs a lot of money to refine anything. Gold is pretty abundant, but it can be difficult to refine, thus making it rather expensive.
Also it ...

Superman was well liked, when he made his debut. Because the cold war was getting people all riled up, and the red scare freaked everyone out, America needed a dependable guy that could just solve anything because he was invincible.
These days however, we don't want a superman, we want someone relatable, someone who shares similar troubles with us. This gives us the sense that there's someone o ...

If someone with DID threatens suicide is it a hostage situation?
Also, I'm sure there's plenty of people faking it just to get attention/out of a crime etc.

First off, the president is just a figurehead, there are more powers at work than just Bush or Obama.
Secondly, I'm presuming that by now Osama has either killed himself because of the stupidity of the people invading his country, or he's died because he's been hiding in a ******** cave. Where more than one type of bacteria grow I'm sure. So mission ******** accomplished.
Third, you're right ...

There is a place in this world for pretty much everything. If we didn't have religion, we wouldn't have anyone to tell us the raisin bran dragons over the next hill won't kill us if god is on our side, and if it weren't for science there would be nobody to tell us those raisin bran dragons don't exist.

Congratulations, you just found out about the largest contradiction ever made:
The human mind.
Abortion comes with no chosen right. The fetus or zygote cannot chose for it's mother to keep it or not. Whereas the person had the choice to go to war and fight. Even if he/she were drafted. He/She could always flee the country or go along with it until put in a situation where he/she could run li ...

Not necessarily, There are tons of parasites that drink blood for nourishment, and there are also animals who live in caves that completely lack melanin.
Though turning into bats, super human power etc etc wouldn't be very realistic.

I think it would be a lot more like the creatures from the will smith movie about becoming a legend or whatever.
Basically I see vampires as having no melanin, meaning while they -can- theoretically go out into the sun, they would suffer severe burns because there is no pigment in their skin to stop Ultraviolet light from frying their bodies like an overcooked egg.
But they might turn shiny. ...

I agree with you when you said "people will do strange things" but I completely agree with the movie coming out.
Why? Well because when people do strange things somebody tries to do something that normal people would find incredibly stupid. And when somebody does something like that, it can be a catalyst for a large amount of change. Which is what the world really needs right now.

I love corporal punishment. I honestly think that people need to hit their kids way more often. Also, I don't think kids should be allowed to have their cell phones during class. I can see at like lunch and before/after school, but you don't really need to text your friends every 10 nanoseconds of every day.
