I've experimented with Prisma markers and like them. Since I'm perpetually broke, I like that you can buy Prismas for 2 or less a piece. That's like, 1/3 the price of Copics. I totally agree with Nessane about buying a few shades of grey first, no matter what brand(s) you try. Your tablet is brand new and a very expensive model, but you already lost your pen? Oy. Well, it's worth it to buy a new pen, look on Amazon.com for a compatible one, they've got good prices on new and used Wacom products. Keep your pen somewhere safe next time!

I say watercolors. They'll take some practice before you can do really complex shading/textures, and they're not forgiving at all (any mistakes are hard to correct, no painting over it), but it's worth it because they look really pretty and are generally far cheaper than acrylic. Watercolors are also better for mixed media, especially with pencil, gouache, and ink.

I don't go on Pixiv much since my Japanese skills suck big time, but I just wanted to say... While the recent stuff isn't as wretched as the "newest" section on dA, everything here looks exactly the same. Like, I seriously wouldn't doubt it if somebody told me the same 3 people were uploading over and over. I guess I'm not missing out on much.

But I guess if you're sensitive to that kind of stuff to begin with, maybe not... and skip the fetus room. I imagine anybody who's not totally objective about bodies would have... trouble with it. Measure the proportions of the face before adding details. Kinda like this: Go here and click on Drawing the Head and Hands for more info and examples. Measuring the features on the face will help your art no matter what style you use, and will make it easier in the long run. I'd also suggest staying away from digital and practice shading with pencil more. Good luck.

Lawl I mean dead bodies. It was Bodies: The Exhibit in NYC. I sketched the muscles and some skeletons, and the respiratory system was really cool to observe. Ooh, and the digestive system was great. Is... is this inappropriate to talk about? I just find this stuff really interesting.

Do you mean selling prints? DA makes the prints, you can make as many as you want to sell - they are copies. Of course, if you want to sell the originals of your traditional art for more money, you're free to list them yourself and get the buyer's address through e-mail or note. I've done that once.
