I'm seeing a lot of names here that are actually pretty common.
I think my pet with the most common name would be Puck, my cat, I've met a couple of those. Otherwise, I have...
Monstee, shorthair cat
Riot, shorthair cat
Ewu (full name Ewu Bada Biwu), Persian
Riddle, APBT
Melon (full name Cantaloupe), mix
And my bettas are Helios, Double Bubble, Napoleon, and Downtown Leroy Brown. ...

I can't imagine she'd have a problem. After all, if she tires, you can start pedaling more to give her a break. You could teach her commands for pulling and not pulling, so if you think she's tiring out you could tell her to stop pulling and just run or trot while you pedal.

This is one sport I will probably never do with my dogs. I am barely capable of riding a bike without falling over when it's just me!
You might get some good tips from skijoring people. I think most of the equipment is the same, and they'd be helpful on teaching you about what cues to uses and how to train Elsie.

Okay, apparently this is spreading.
I brought Melon to the dog wash after hours last night to bathe him. I turned him loose to sniff around while I got the tub ready, and instead he lost his mind and started doing crazed zoomies around the place, slamming himself into play bows and barking at me. He would NOT shut up! I'm blaming you guys, Melon never barks!

| Pitbull with cropped ears- | 92 | Pets! |

If he was left in a yard to rot his whole life, his people likely did not care that he went missing. Or they got tired of feeding him and dumped him.
I've worked with dogs for a long time. Actual abuse cases are pretty rare. Neglect and lack of interaction causes to act fearful, timid, and shy. He's probably never been in a house before, and family life is confusing and scary to him.

You should really call the breeder and inform them of the issues he's having, in case others are as well.
Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon.

I'm seeing a lot of misconception here.
Pit Bulls do not have their tails docked. Ever. If you go to an actual fighting dog yard, you will see every dog with a tail, barring freak accidents. Ears are cropped, yes, but APBTs have never had their tails docked, not in the history of the breed. Tails are not usually in the line of fire during a dog fight.
Also, I sincerely doubt your dog was go ...

My next betta will probably be from a breeder. Not that I'll be getting one for a while, all my boys are healthy, thankfully. I try to stay away from the big box stores, because I always end up with my heart broken. We do have an awesome LFS that sells bettas. They display some of them them in small tanks, others in a barracks-type system that gives a little more room than the cups, and has fr ...

I'd freeze some of that 15lb bag of food. With naturally preserved foods, once the bag is open the food expires in 3 months. The expiration date on the outside of the bag is the shelf life for an unopened bag. One cat really can't go through a 15lb bag before it goes bad. Freezing will preserve the oils and keep the food fresh until you need it.

You should move to Central Oregon instead. It's right below Washington, but CO is actually a high desert, not rainy like the rest of Oregon and Washington. I absolutely love it.

I personally don't believe that carnivores get much of anything out of any carb, not at all. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of fibre, and if we're really getting technical, the insoluble fibre in grains could be considered comparable to the fur of small animals that cats, dogs, or ferrets would consume as prey. 8) Okay, I'll stop, I'm slightly enjoying the devil's advocate role... ...

Latrans, Elsie's coat is not the type one would use a Furminator on. They claim it works on long hair, but it really doesn't, and it can damage long coats. Wiry, coarse, or dry coats can also be damaged. A healthy coat that's short and double-layered, like Labs, Rotties, and Cattle Dogs, is what Furminators excel at.
Hundurr, don't throw away your rubber brush! You're absolutely correct that i ...

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I haven't had computer access for a while, and I hate posting on my phone.
Anyhow, yes grains have to be cooked very well to be processed- and so do potatoes and sweet potatoes. Give a cat (or dog or ferret) a raw potato and they'll not only be unable to digest it, but most likely they'll become sick as well. Not to mention that kibble has the crap cooked ...

Well, as I mentioned, Canidae is less carb-heavy overall and more calorie dense, so you feed less. In the store I work at, a 35# bag of Canidae ALS is $47, plus you get every 13th bag free. TotW is 30# for $47, no free bag, and you feed more of it. California Natural is MUCH more calorie dense, $45 for a 30# bag, and every 11th bag is free.
So...
Canidae ALS: $47, 35#, 468 kcal/cup, fre ...
