Its possible to get them from sex, yes, but that's not the only way, like everyone else is saying. I kept getting them from the birth control medicine I was on. What you're experiencing is basically a buildup of bacteria down there that is not the normal balance it should be. It might be a yeast infection also, although theres generally itchy-ness associated with those. Definitely go and see a gynocologist asap. Ive had to deal with infections before and if they get bad they're NOT fun. Plus, without a proper diagnosis, you can't treat it properly.

It sucks that she's in that situation. Sometimes people know that they deserve better, but like you said, are afraid of being alone. My suggestion would be though, that if he hits her or the kids again, that someone call the police.

Thank you. I do feel like he does care, and theres a part of him that wants to be with me exclusively, but that he has issues that prevent this, or prevent him from trying harder. My senior year of high school I fell during volleyball practice when we were doing drills and rolled over my ankle. It got severely sprained, and there was bruising, so that's what it sounds like you have. Make sure you ice it - 15 minutes with ice on, 15 minutes off, and elevate your ankle as well. That will keep the swelling down.
