I've been reading some poetry contests lately. I wasn't surprised to find what I found, but it was still disappointing as hell. Why is it that 90% of poems are disgustingly angsty and all about pain? All of them are exactly the same, too. Exactly the same. So, what do you write poetry about that isn't pain-related?
