I'm working on something and it requires a scalloped hem. Its cotton stretch, and its fraying slightly, not much though. Does anyone have any tips for making a pretty scalloped hem? I don't really have any special stiches on my machine for a rolled him. I can possibly manage a merrow but my machine can only make a wide one and the scallop shape goes very deep so I don't think I'd be able to do it ...

I like store envy because its free, so no loss if you don't sell. With proper advertising, its not hard to get a lot of hits and sales though its less known than etsy. Honestly, a gaia sig advertisement pulls in lots of customers in my experience.

Sounds like a pretty big project if its fully lined..if you are really planing on doing a lot with the machine in the future, it might be best to get a better one rather than a novice one so you don't have to upgrade later on when you realize there are more features you need.. or, if you are on a budget, you with some extra work, you can still make special things with a regular machine. Well my serger got extremely jammed today and the needle plate actually had the metal bent but I was able to straighten it out after I unscrewed it and put it back on..but on a closer look, it seems as if part of the metal had cracked. oh..yeah that sucks. Maybe you could find some one on gaia. If it happens, I totally want to see it. At the very least, you could just make a voice script or something like that without any visuals..you know, like one of those Japanese 'voice dramas' even if you just say a few lines for fun with or without additional characters.
