This is about Gaia's communication as a business which you seem to be heavily against for some reason. Gaia is not someones hobby, and while the item was free, some kind of notice would have been appreciated.
I can get communication, updates, ETC anywhere but here and the difference is, that users don't make excuses for those companies because those users know what customer service ...

Well I guess Proper competition is subjective but I would think any site who sells entertainment or games like Steam, RO (which Gaia was based on), SO, or Eden Eternal would be competition.

They actually have a lot of competition. However because it's not an avatar site, they don't see that.
Gamestop
Sears
Amazon
Ebay
ETC
WoW
Mabinogi
ETC
Any place that sells entertainment, just like Gaia, is competition.

Gaia is very unwise to continue to ignore that the economy is still shaky much less how competitive business is to start with.

It was as if they combined Noir, Chthulu, 80's neon, and cute then mixed it up all in a blender.
The fire salamader tunic isn't even shaded. I'd have to throw a corset on it to hide that fact.

Faking a condition is an insult to the people who actually do suffer from that condition.
Like the parents who claim their child has Aspergers and that's why they push over the displays and pee on the carpet.
Bad behavior is separate from a legit medical condition.
