That is quite considerably young for a group of well established politicians. It takes many years to climb up the political ladder.

I'm sorry, I still don't understand why these new laws are so bad? Besdies countless descriptions along the lines of 'they're taking away workers rights' Just HOW are they taking away your rights exactly? All I see is a bunch of people moaning, and no one justifying their complaints. Is this the image you want to portray of Australians? As a bunch of lazy people who complain about things but ...

I don't understand this 'working class' bullshit over the Australian Workplace Agreement contrats. I've signed plenty of these in my time, and never once have I seen it impact my work, my pay, or how I am treated by my management and peers. I personally think that the minority of people complaining about these agreements are mostly industrymen, more than likely unionists from the building ...

Razorgod, you seem to make some interesting points, so i have questions for you, being such a knowledgeable pitbull owner. Why is it you keep that particular breed, of all breeds as a dog to guard with? And as you have said, the dog is not kept necessarily because of the fact that it's good with children or the fact that it's obviously well house trained and able to respect it's owners, you're ...

You obviously enjoy saying the word 'false' quite a lot. Myself and my girlfriend own a Japanese Spitz and have raised him since he was a pup. The worst he's done is nipped on us is when he was teething as a little puppy and occasionally gotten posessive of the bone it chews on. If that dog is nipping and headbutting you hard, you either must be very lucky and / or very stupid if you ...

Pit bills have a much more aggressive disposition than majority of the other fighting breeds. Any breed can make an acceptable pet if properly raised and taught discipline, but that doesn't mean you can breed out their aggressive tendencies, whether foe, friend, or master - you never truly are the 'owner' of a pit bull, you are it's tamer. At worst, a chihuahua will maybe n** at my heels if ...

Why doesn't anyone care about them?? 38 General Discussion 9/12/06 3:54pm

Not really. The African kids dying and starving aren't the only ones in the world who are in that situation. It happens every day, regardless of what country. Africa's starvation and bias towards poor population versus rich population is obviously quite different however, all of these 'save the starving children' campaigns are all the same: they are informing us of situations that we know ...

How come white ppl are the only ones made out to be racist? 509 General Discussion 5/7/07 4:17am

Correct, hence 'historically' it has been the Whites oppressing the Blacks until modern times however, that is not to say that there are not 'coloured' groups out there which do not harbour the same feelings towards whites as white supremacists do to blacks, but the topic of the discussion is 'why' one term is considered politically correct and incorrect.

There's a subtle difference between the two terms, both politically and what type of movement they represent. 'Black Pride' is a term that symbolises (predominantly) African-American self-respect, pride, and greater equality among races. Black Pride was a national movement closeley associated with figures like Martin Luther King. The term is used as a way of not only their equality today, but t ...
