(36,858) Mine have expiration dates on them, possibly because they can't use preservatives because it causes too much buildup on the eye. I'm not inclined to try them because if they've "gone bad," I imagine the result of doing so would be an eye infection, and I'd probably have no idea that anything was wrong until it would be too late.

(36,857) I can't wear any of the big name brands like Acuvue, even their astigmatism-specific ones are uncomfortable for me. Luckily my mom had a connection with a sales rep for the company that makes the ones I can use, so I got a bunch for free because they were close to expiration, but now they're past it I think, so I don't think I should use them.

(36,856) The over $200 was with my insurance coverage. My eyes are atrocious, so the lenses require special materials and are so thick I always have to get full frames. It's $300 for the lenses alone without insurance. I asked because I wanted to see if I could get the new prescription in my old frames. (36,853) That's why I used James Hong's voice. (Mr. Ping from Kung Fu Panda, or, specifically, Covetous Shen from Diablo 3) And yes, I have contacts, but I think they're expired and my prescription has also changed significantly. I can also go back to my old glasses, but even then I have the prescription change problem.

(36,852) That's terrible! I feel a little bit better, though I think I might be allergic to whatever my glasses' nosepads are made of. o.o Slightly disconcerting. It's definitely very very red underneath them, and tender on one side, which either means they're too tight, or I'm having an allergic reaction to them. So I might have to get them replaced.
