The movie sucked, but it was an improvement on the original text. This is due to the fact that the director made up for crap dialogue and weak characterization (which was due to tremendously shitty characters) with pretty decent cinematography.

The actual likelyhood of either the kindle or nook crashing is ridiculously low. And even then, both companies offer superlative customer service. Amazon will send you a replacement kindle before you send in your borked one. And also would really be without *all* your books if you had an eReader and it crashed?
