Cheremy turned on her heel, still in a daze, and almost lost balance. The glimmer of respect she still had in her was urging her to stay, but she felt in heart that she couldn't be around them any longer.

Cheremy looked up in confusion as soon as Jai said her name. The situation had thrown her completely and she was too delirious to think straight. As her senses returned to her, she blinked and stared and the others, wondering how on Earth they could respond so indifferently to the situation. She shook her head, the confusion never leaving her face, and slowly began stumbling towards the staircase.

"But how can we have fun without drinking?" She asked him, genuinely unable to take such a suggestion seriously. "I swear I won't get paralytic, if that's what you're worried about?" "Oh, come on." She laughed, unsure as to whether 'without the bottle' meant sticking to just a few drinks or completely dry...though the latter couldn't possibly have been serious.
