Love love love long socks. They're easiest to wear with boots in winter, but they can be worn with e.g. ballet flats, brogues/brogue heels, or other heels. Ease in slowly. Fitted shirts, more fitted jeans - bootcut, or straight. They won't be uncomfy if they fit you well. Maybe try a denim skirt. It's casual and not necessarily all out girly so might be more in your comfort zone. Dresses - choose knee-length ones, in a jersey fabric which is more casual so you might feel more comfy in it.
