If you have never sewn before, it's probably going to be impossible for you to make a dress like that. Heck, I have experience sewing and I don't know if I could do that! I would suggest...hm. Improvising? You could probably find a blue corset to wear, and make the skirt? That wouldn't be as hard to make. You don't have to be thankful, but you don't have to be rude. How hard it is it to say, "Sorry, that's not what I am looking for." or, I'm looking specifically for lenses." There just isn't a reason to be a b***h about it. If you don't like her idea then ignore it. She was only trying to help.
