Though as we do not yet have a proper/permanent name for this little thread of ours it's going to keep changing.
Good ideas may also get us to change its name.
Which brings us onto our next point.
What is this thread about?
As a newbie in a new MMO, we've found it hard time and time again to quickly find out about what some users are talking about when they shorten specific words and phrases.
Think of this thread as a dictionary.
Keeping tabs on the ever growing vocabulary of zOMG.
Anything can be abbreviated to allow players a quicker way of communicating.
So we plan to keep a wondrous little list of terms that become common in zOMG.
We also hope to have you, the players, help us with this epic task.
So, what are you waiting for?
Let us begin.
1. Intro/Index (You are currently here)
2. Rules/Info/Linklist (Go here next and please read it all)
3. No - A - B (001.)

10. You do not talk about Beta.
11. You do NOT talk about Beta.
A) To begin, we'll explain the search system.
It's rather common, but some people may not know how to use it.
Since this front page may become very long, we've decided that we'll be using a coding system to allow people to quickly jump to the section that they want.
As you've no doubt already noticed in the index, next to each section we have bracketed several numbers and a full stop.
To search for a section you wish to find, simply press Ctrl+F and type in the number code and full stop at the end.
Hit 'Next' and bingo, you'll be at the section you wanted.
B) Onto people submitting entries for our little dictionary.
There's going to be a few rules for this as well.
1. Post it in the thread.
2. Make a small sentence to show how it should be used and in what situation, description helps also.
3. If you didn't coin the term yourself, please tell us who did. A screencap ingame or a link to the forums is helpful in this aspect. We LOATHE people trying to take credit for others ideas. It's called theft after all.
4. If we like your word and description, we shall put it up.
5. If we don't like it, please don't be offended that we don't put it up.
6. Don't worry if your word doesn't show up right away, it may take some time for us to recheck back through pages of the thread we've missed.
7. We reserve the right to take artistic license with the description of any words we add to the list.
C) F.A.Q's about this thread:
None as of yet.
Check back, or go ahead and ask us a few.
D) And do not forget, this topic is about discussing zOMG as well as keeping tabs on its growth.
+ 104 - An error in the zOMG server. A common occurrence during early testing of the game. A bane to all trying to test.
"Quoth the server: '104'."
+ AFK - Generic term meaning 'Away from keyboard.'
+ Agro - Normally used in the phrase 'pull agro'. Once a player attacks an Animated, that Animated will become aggressive towards that player. Certain Animated automatically Agro a player when any Animated near them is attacked or if a player gets too close to them. The more damage done to an Animated, the more agro a player garners from that Animated. Though Medics tend to garner the most Agro without ever attacking an Animated.
+ Airshark - And you thought a freight train with teeth was bad news. Airshark first gained attention during the 2009 April Fools event, created by users to confuse and further bewilder newer players that had no concept of an April fools joke on Gaia. Due to this, when the random mini-events were created, Airshark was born properly. It now enjoys raining explosives and giftboxes upon Barton for twenty minute intervals.
+ Animated - The bane of zOMG. The Animated are objects that have been infused with Ghi energy and have been granted a kind of pseudo-life. Not all enemies in zOMG are Animated, though all do seem to be effected by Ghi energy in some way, shape or form.

+ Brb - Generic term meaning 'Be right back.'
+ Broken - General 'gamer' slang for something that is overpowered. - "Dervish has always been broken."
+ Buff - The term for any effect used by a player to increase any of their stats for a short period of time. "Meat is a great buff!~"

+ C.C - "Crowd Control." A term used to describe how a group of opponents can be controlled by one ring.
"Quicksand all the Bloodbats."
+ Camping - A generic MMO term. Referring to a player or group of players staying in one spot to kill a certain monster as it re-appears.

+ Dens - Shorthand for the ring My Density.
+ Ditch - To leave or be expelled from a crew very suddenly, often without warning. There can be many reasons for this, though most people that ditch a crew (or are ditched from a crew) will never know them.
+ Div - Shorthand for the ring Divinity.
+ DMP - The shortened term for 'Dead Mans Pass.'
+ DMS - The shortened term for 'Dead Mans Shadow.' An instance inside the Dead Mans Pass instance which allows players to gain Shadow Orbs and raise their overall level to the new cap of 12.

When in a crew, the entire crew may enter the instance together to try and take down the area specific boss on a harder setting for greater rewards.
+ Improb - Shorthand for the ring Improbability Sphere.
+ Kite - The term for 'hit and run' tactics. Running around an opponent to avoid damage while causing your foe damage in return. Ring sets can be made to take advantage of this.
+ KKD - Shorthand for 'Kats Kokeshi Doll' a instanced boss in the Zen Gardens area.
+ Kokia'd - Specific to the zOMG forums. The art of being beaten to answering a question by another user of the forum, even by the smallest of margins.
"Kokia'd: To be beaten to the post by a forum regular, even if you ARE a forum regular."- Cyrus Lurch
+ Lag - Slowdown or freezing of a game due to high latency, although often used for any slowdown at all (e.g. graphics lag, memory leak lag, etc.)
"Lag killed me once again..." - Ryau
+ Landshark - The 'boss' of Gold Beach. Often used in 'Chuck Norris' style jokes. If you have seen it, you know of its majestic power. Also known as Bruce to some.
He was nerfed and is now nowhere near as mighty as he once was.

Mini-Bosses have a specific C.L. limit to face them as all Mini-Bosses spawn during Mini-Events. Such as Airshark and the Lawnsharks, who may only be attempted by C.L. 2 or below players.
+ Mini-Event - An addition to zOMG that causes random events to occur dependant on the area they suddenly spring up in. Each area has its own unique mini-event. Each one lasts for twenty minutes and tends to cause unique Animated to spawn during this time. Users may need to quickly band together in some events to stay undazed. All mini-events have a specific C.L cap to make them more of a challenge, yet there is no minimum level to participate in a Mini-Event.

"Timmy and his 1000 friends decided to all play together on an MMO." - Ryau
+ Mobbing - A tactic used to defeat as many enemies as possible within an area. For instanced runs such as Dead Man's Pass, Shallow Seas/Underwater Ledge and Sealab Compound, players usually defeat all of the animated on screen before moving to the next.
