I think that... similar to your idea, there should be an 'animation ring' that for $25.00 USD, let's you use MC-specific emoticons. Like, say you have a UFO equipped... Activating the ring, and selecting the UFO will make it light up, and spin. Activating the ring with a Flame Sword could light you on fire for a few seconds. These will NOT affect combat AT ALL, but are just neat to play with.
