So does anyone else here have dial-up?
I can hardly visit towns on a slow day so I'm fearful that I'll never
be able to participate in the glorious Gaia battle system.
If I can get it to work I'll have to play by myself because it'll take 10 minuets
to load the next area and by that time the rest of the party will be long gone.

Should we start a dial-up clan so we can all lag out together?
Will the battle system even be usable at all in the lag fest that is dial-up?
Is there anything being done to ensure that us less fortunate Gaians can still
beat the crap out of an OMG monster that resembles some kind of legged whale?

That may make the lag a little better, like it would take 5 minuets instead of 10.

It probably won't be that much of an issue, and I'm sure you're not alone. I used to play FFXI with Dial up without many problems. XD

You're doomed! I can see how lag must hurt you...My dad's labtop uses a diall up connection, and I can never go into towns cause I don't like the lag. I'm not sure how to help you. Sorry. sad

Dial-up? People still use that?
The lag is going to be atrocious. You might be able to play when it is less busy, less people on the server. Which probably rules out the first week or two. Probably any time during the afternoon.

Most likely you will only be able to play without lag late at night or early morning.

I had the same problem until they made High speed available to my area. So I guess you're pretty much screwed unless a miracle happens (like me) and you get High speed.... But until then stick to the forums.

Dial-Up, oh gods above they still have that. I shudder at the thought of using the forums these days nevermind the GBS. That sucks I'm sad to say but there isn't much to be done for what's going to be a browser based game.

I thought when my parent's got broadband they'd be the last ones (they still use a now 7 year old computer even) sweatdrop
