Two questions about zomg halloween event

1) In trick or treating at barton, if someone kills my pumpkin that spawns do they get the loot or do I? It seems I only get loot from them when I kill it myself

2) Whats the difference/benefits of killing the werewolves/vampires in the portals rather than just the ones that wonder around the normal areas(like village greens, zen gardens, etc.)

I dunno about the first question, but if you kill the baddies in the portals, you get item drops, and occasionally recipes and the pumpkin items from the chests. that, and it's a good challenge to see how long you can go before your completely out of stamina. (ran out as a 1.0 on her last Vampire run)

as far as I know you can only get one item from the fluffs the whole time the event is happing

I believe you can get pumpkin seeds from the fluffs after getting the gumball.

oh, so once you get the item then killing the pumpkin things doesnt really matter?

(1) I think whoever kills the pumpkin fluff is the one who gets the loot. So far, it looks like you can only get "Oh My Gumball" once. After that, when you might have gotten it, it says "You already got it, so all you find are pumpkin guts." So maybe it's fair to let other people kill your fluffs if you've already gotten the item.

(2) The monsters outside the portals are capped to that area's level. The monsters inside are set dynamically to match your level (or your crew's). So if you're at CL 8, you can't kill monsters in Bassken unless you suppress to CL 5, but you could go into a Bassken portal and that would be fine. Also, the Halloween recipes are only found in the chests inside the portals, so if you want those, you have to go in. I think pumpkin lids only come from chests, too. But both inside & outside monsters will drop vampire blood & werewolf pelt, and sometimes gold and orbs.
