The one thing I'm wary about is that the crew panel is going to be a lot bigger.
I like my pane the size it is.
Keeps everything nice and neat like this.

The other is that it requires a download, and doesn't work for Safari and Chrome.
More over that they're not planning on making it work for these.

Which means it may not work for Mac.
And using Safari and Chrome as a guide, it may never work for Mac.
Which means a lot of Mac users will be excluded from crews, since they can't use voice chat.

Anyway, regarding what you've pointed out.

I'm not sure why you'd quit the crew when you can just mute the annoying person.
So I'm not even sure why Qix would mention that...

99GC for a totally secondary feature doesn't bother me at all.
It's not like it affects gameplay at all.
If people want to pay for it, go for it.
I'll probably end up buying it if I have extra cash leftover from something else.

Don't care for the two-minute training.
My only hope is that it'll bring Frank more into the story.
As-is, he's a minor character, and kinda ruins the end story sequence since noone would recognize him.

Staggering, I dislike.
I think the ring drops should be staggered, but the grants should be any ring.
But that's just me.

I lol'd when I read that the voice mods were going to be handled on a monthly basis, and not a permanent one. Granted, they unbound the powerups, so I don't think I should complain about them gauging players since I have access to my beloved polishers and superchargers again. ;w;

I'm going to give VOIP a shot, I think, but I have Skype too. It depends on how bad it lags the game, and how easy ignoring 'tards in VC happens to be.

Given I only crew with like... five or six people I know very well, routinely, I shouldn't be that irritated by the chats. *shrugs* I didn't really like his "leave the crew and gtfo if you don't like the chat" message, though. >.>;

The "skip the training sequence" thing... kinda bugs me. I mean, that's just opening the door for a whole new level of noobitude in the game. =A=; It really should be mandatory, like it was when I first started playing this game around this time last year. .3.;

Rings will be staggered only until you reach Bass'ken lake. After that, ring variety will be back to a full 40.

Rings will be staggered only until you reach Bass'ken lake. After that, ring variety will be back to a full 40.

The problem is,what if 1/3 NPC's that give you a ring
glitch on you? Then you'll hopefully only get to choose 2/2. I've heard
Blaze glitched on people before,not letting them choose there ring after the chain
of quests,but Idk about Concerned Citizen or Rin/Lin have glitched on anyone.

All Mac users I know (me too) use firefox.
It's much better than safari.
I can't see why they couldn't use that function.

I'm liking the look of the changes, my only gripe is that the n00bs are going to reach new levels with the training skip.

But I assume they can go back and take the training afterwards if they need to, so that's not as bad as it could be.

Plus, I can see... potential segregation happening. You'd have to advertise whether or not you'd got VOIP when looking for a crew. I have a sneaking suspicion that not many people are actually going to use it.

About VOIP:
If you like VOIP and have mics for it, sure it's awesome. But what about us players who don't have mics or find it extremely annoying to hear all those sounds from zOMG? Sure, I can still turn off the sound on zOMG, but what if I don't want to hear your voice? (Especially when you are sick.. stare )

Does this new crew VOIP allow for those who don't use VOIP to still understand what is being said in the crew? Probably not. I could ask those in the crew to "Please type everything out so I can still understand you!" But in reality, most people will probably just continue to use VOIP and leave me in the dark. ninja

I don't use GCash, but 99GC to change your voice? Not worth it.

About the 2 min training session:
More n00bs everywhere and shouts for defib...

But then again, I use Chrome so VOIP doesn't effect me...yet.

Honestly, I don't see why you need a voice change anyway...I mean, computer mics mess up everyone's voice on their own...or mine does at least. I feel like the main impact VOIP will have on me (when I use it) will be that I actually have to watch what I yell at the screen...so no more "You bloody idiot! What are you thinking!" at the people who keep getting in my way...It also means I won't be able to crew with my roomie and someone else...we laugh too much...we'd scare away our crewmates...
