a suggestion for the battle system would be for the rings to be like materia from final fantasy vii and have the weapons implemented in that way... as in, they could effect the rings... effectiveness, so to speak. rods/staffs could + more magical properties and lower defense.
edit: and of course have noob weapons in a store. and then have upgrades and mcs.
