Gemenice
Oh great ^_^ You know we should meet and discuss.
What this thread fails to inform about is :
1. the points of discussion.
2. the whole point of trying to do that - will something change?
3. why it's done in zomg and not zomg forum that would have... bigger participation? Since not everyone is on on taht time/doesn't notice
4. what will change after having the 'discussion'
all in all, this thread - in the way it's now seems like random 'let's growl together' jumbled up. You need points of discussion and you need plan - where to go from here?
So far, from what i heard, you don't have anything planned - other than time and place.
Valid points and concerns.
The last thing I want to see is us go in there all disorganised and sound like a bunch of petulent children.
Fo r me at least, the principle issue is where has our money gone?
We've been repeatedly told that zOMG! does not generate sufficient revenue to warrant it's continued development, but we've never been told exactly how much it generates, through direct sales and ancillary purchases.
I'd like to know the following....
How much did zOMG! generate through direct sales in 2010?
How much did it generate in 2011?
Does Gaia have any estimates of what zOMG! generates in ancillary sales?
What do they estimate it would cost to keep zOMG! growing at a slow, but continual pace, say a new area once every six months to a year?
How much would zOMG! have to generate in order to justify that development?
And, seeing as we've been told that it's not just a question of what zOMG! can earn itself, but also a question of what the new properties that have taken zOMG!'s Devs can earn compared to zOMG!, what is the percentage difference?
Do they anticipate twice the revenues? Three times the revenues?
The decision to shelf zOMG! is, we've been told, purely based on dollars and cents, so I'd like to know about those figures.
I would also, just once, like to have a representative from the decision makers speak with us, or one or two selected representatives so that we could finally have this out "face to face".
There...that's my view.
