Okay, so the Halloween event is said to be taking place in the MMO right? Well what if it is solely based on the MMO and they decide to put the trick-or-treating and everything else in the MMO. While that would be a lot more fun than the traditional way if you ask me, other people don't want to play the MMO or some people have computers that can't even make it into towns without crashing... A lot of people on Gaia have problems playing the games and getting into towns, and I don't imagine the MMO being any better, even with newer servers...

Also, if the Halloween event is in the MMO then chances are the Christmas event will be as well...
And these two events are the biggest events for both items AND storyline purposes...
So people with bad connections could be missing out on a number of things if these two events are solely MMO based:
1) Halloween and Christmas items.
2)New Halloween skins.
3) And any interactive Storyline purposes in the MMO

So what do you guys think about this?
I mean, even if it's not solely MMO based, people with bad connection will still miss out on some possibly important things, such as new skins, where as before if anything took place in towns for the events, it was nothing too big, or you could still just do it on the regular site.

(Also, just want to clear things up, I am not whining about myself, I happen to be able to get into towns and games just fine talk2hand )

They said they were thinking about it.

And since the MMO is not only a fighting game, but a more reliable towns. It doesnt really matter.

Mangas will still go in the manga section, event items will still be event items, announcements will still be announcements.

It would only seem logical to keep the trick-or-treating/caroling in shops/towns.

The MMO portion will probably be Gaians vs. zombies or something. Like all the critters would be zombies and Halloween themed creatures.

Besides putting all the events solely on MMO would put a LOT of stress on the servers. talk2hand

Yes, but think about the other things that have happened in the past to accommodate those users.

I believe the standard method of getting the bags (1- cool will still be going to each shop and Trick-or-treating or caroling will STILL BE IN PLACE.

Just people who want to play the MMO and get Halloween items will be able to do that without having to go to shops to trick-or-treat/carol.

hopefully events in the MMO will be extra/new-added, and won't be taking over the original ones

what really concerns me is that how the MMO will be affecting the Gaia marketplace prices

I don't think it's coming out during Halloween or even in October. Qixter said SUMMER of 2008, not Fall. Which means it should be here around August/ September time. 3nodding

I find the idea of putting holiday events in the MMO a semi-dumb idea. I think Towns should be used more for events like Trick-or-treating, and easter egg hunting. -shrugs- That's only me.
