It's made me wonder about something I've noticed since first playing zOMG:

It's not meant to be a stupid offensive question or anything. I'm just genuinely curious to hear from the female player base why you choose this game over others, and why you think there's a higher girl:guy ratio than most MMOs.

because it's Gaia and is much more open/friendly/welcoming to female players. and the zOMG scene is pretty casual

Also because I happen to be on Gaia before this all started, I sorta fell into playing it rather than chose it over other MMOs. It's also quite easy to go back to, even after a several year hiatus I can still get back into it.

It's not crappy, Gaia just sucks and doesn't know how to properly look after the game.
The game is fine, the upkeep is what's crappy.

The game is still beautiful in my mind, but as far as the key points that make up what this game was advertised as (community, earning gold, & killing things), right now it only hits 1/3 of the marks.

The community is non-existent, and one does not simply "earn gold" through zOMG! when stacked with the current economy.

So, yes, I would say it is crappy

Gaia seems more geared towards women (at the very least, female avis get better items) so it's no surprise that z! has more women than men populating the servers.

Because Gaia. Really that simple. But even if it weren't for the cutesy avatars here, the fact is that even on regular games(even competitive ones like lol or dota) 40% of the gamers are usually female.

I also want to say, in case there was any confusion of my personal position -
Out of all of the people I have met on Gaia/Zomg, it's a 50/50 split on male and female.
Some males use female avis, some females use male avis, some use females to look male, some use males to look female.
That is the best part of Gaia, the personal versatility.
The fact is, you don't know who a person is behind the screen unless they tell you.
Having this thing degenerate into an issue of gender majority and sexism is disappointing for me to see, because at the core we are all equals.
