I believe Scaredy Cat is a conical AoE, so only enemies standing close to it will be hit.
Kinda like slash. I could be wrong though. I've not actually tested >.<; |

Whole area does not mean the whole screen. Just a fairly large AoE around your target. >.>

IME, it's a circle of growing size. And Debuff Resist wouldn't affect it: it's a CC. O_.
