RPG Setting?

I will say up front I haven't done much research on the mmo, and I know about the ring thing. However would it be like an rpg? Like you could fight and eventually level up the rings or something? Or are the rings just showing what kind of skills you have and you level up naturally like any other rpg?

There have been some games where you can level up your skills and sell them off. So you could technically level up the rings and then sell them off for a higher price the higher you level up the ring. If it's anything like that at all. I just wanted to know because I would love the idea for an rpg format.

Rings contain weapons, skills, spells, ect.
They level up on their own but you also receive their exp.
Starter rings cannot be sold or traded, but others can.
Supposedly, traded rings level and rank reset when traded.
