Ring Drop Errors?

I was killing some gnomes, when I got a message flashing stating that I found a diagnose ring. I then was killed by other enemies. I did not have a diagnosis ring on my finger after the update popped up.

This is my first ring drop, meaning one not obtained through questing. If there is some sort of procedure, please let me know. IF not, is there any way someone has found to deal with this problem so I don't miss out on a Diagnose ring?

Check your inventory by clicking on the hand icon in the middle of your ring bar. It should be on the rings tab. You can equip it in the Null Chamber.

click on the hand to show all the rings you have and make sure it is equipped. When u find a new ring it will not equip itself. If it is not there then it was a game problem as you dont lose items.
