If you stay logged in for a good fifteen minutes/half hour, he'll show up.

I'm very glad this is here..and I'm also wondering why it wasn't here earlier..

Yeah, that's not normal. Try what Syko suggested, and if that doesn't work then I'd report it as a glitch >.<;;

To my understanding, the General's instance is a permanent change to the game.

Loot drops aren't appearing at all at the moment.

Anyway, for the eggs containing chicks: do they tell you that they hatched a chick or do they just come out of the eggs that grant you loot?

It's kinda annoying since you really want to get moving and find another egg, but you have to wait and see 'cause they don't tell you.
