Val's Quick and Nasty Easter Guide
~~~~~~
- Egg Hunting
- Around zOMG!, easter eggs will spawn in "at random". The locations are the same, but the pattern at which they spawn at those locations will vary. A single attack is enough to break the eggs (they have 1 HP).
These eggs can be hidden partially behind objects, or in plain view. You cannot target them with the ~ function. They will drop: Gold, Jelly Beans, Plastic Grass or Strawberry Chocolate Eggs. They're also the source of the Easter recipes.
An egg with a golden centre is not the same as a Golden Egg.
Tips:
* Use Solar Rays, all other ranged rings have delays between firing and damage that let others snipe your egg
* Hunter's Bow is good for those hard to reach places
* Sniping is perfectly acceptable.
* Use Fleet Feet/Coyote Spirit/Medic Set to get between eggs faster.
- Golden Eggs
- These are rare egg-spawns which have 3500 HP and are C.L. 20.0 so they will only ever take one damage from your attacks.
The first Golden Egg you defeat will give you a "Golden Ticket" (It's called a Golden Egg in your inventory) which will hatch into something after the event. After the first time, you'll receive about 8k worth of gold.
Update Announcement
Find this egg and get your friends to help you crack it open and you will all receive a special egg that will hatch some time after the event ends.
This is a golden egg
Tips:
* DoT rings like Hot Foot and Fire Rain do multiple hits of one damage, thus making them more effective than normal rings.
* Everyone who hits the egg gets the reward, so let everyone in the area know you've found an egg! It gets you the rewards faster.
* You can use the ~ to target Golden Eggs.
* If you have a weaker computer, be sure to disable all ring animations that aren't your own from the Game Menu!
* Make sure to attack continually till the egg is destroyed, lest you miss out on rewards
- The Chicks
- The Easter 2010 Chick items are obtained by clicking on certain Chicks in zOMG!. These chicks occasionally spawn when eggs are cracked open - however a lot of players don't stick on the screen long enough to realise they have spawned a Chick. (This means that you can find random chicks that have been left behind)
The game won't tell you if you've spawned a chick! They will follow you around if you're in the Village Greens however (and only in the Village Greens, they won't follow anywhere else)
You can get: Chicky, Churpy, Cheepy and Chirpy
Tips:
* If a chick is alone, it's likely a loot one.
* Just because a chick is alone, doesn't mean it is a loot one
* If it talks, you can't pick it up
* They should appear fairly quickly after the sparkle animation finishes
- The Badges
- Hippity Hopper - Find 100 Easter Eggs in zOMG!
Eggcentric Collector - Find 1000 Easter Eggs in zOMG!
Chick Collector - Catch 3 Chickies (Have to be different kinds!)
The Midas Touch - Defeat a Golden Egg.
- The Recipes
- Known Issues
- 1. Strawberry Chocolate Eggs may not appear under your "zOMG!" tab, they should still be found in "All" though.
2. Loot can be delayed in being granted. Don't panic too much if you crack and egg and there's no fountain of gold.
The Event will finish on April 11, 2010
If people can think of things I should add, or explain better, let me know. This is a bit of a rush job xp
