Welcome to Gaia! ::

I wouldn't mind if it wasn't so impossible to get a good crew. Once, I found a crew. We only had two rockers and I was one of them.

I told the other one to rock me first because I was one of the rockers. At first, he didn't rock ANYONE. Then, after I said "please?" he rocked everyone else BUT me, and he never rocked me, just to piss me off. Then everyone in the crew blamed me because they lost and I was dazed for most of the match. I said "but he refused to rock me! I rocked him, and we rocked all your guys, but he never rocked me".

This is where I REALLY got mad. The crew starting saying things like "Rock yourself!" and "lol n00b". Then the crew leader said "what a noob he made us lose! You suck!" or something like that. Then he KICKED ME!

As you can guess, I was pretty pissed off at this point. I waited outside the boat (did I mention this was Duneslam farming?) just to see how fast they died. They died in a few seconds( xd ), and then accused me of hacking them to make their rings worse/Duneslam harder. They followed me around and flamed me/whisper-flamed me until I just exited out of zOMG. I think one of them reported me, too...

This is why I want to solo. Unfortunately, zOMG is full of those 10-year-old boys who flood the CB who don't listen to a word anyone says, instead of everyone else. (even a grade-A weeaboo is better than a UAU).

Once some 3.5 called me a noob because I surpressed to 2.0 to fight Lawnshark and was dazed. I said "I'm twice your level(or I was at the time), and you try fighting him. See if you and your 6 attack rings and 2 empty slots are so mighty! He responded "it won't let me attack him" so I said "you have to surpress to fight him". He just was like "lol I'm not gonna be weak like you little noobs". So I unsurpressed and came back, just to prove to him I was a higher CL than him. I came back, and found him dazed (and no, he wasn't surpressed xd ). Then he STILL flamed everyone and called me a noob.

If it was easier to find a decent crew, I wouldn't mind. Sadly, it's not.

tl;dr version: finding a good crew these days is impossible.
And I apoligize for the rant.
It's Not Imposable =3
It's Just Harder
You Can Get From The Greens To The 3 Switches Solo =3

Looong rant, belongs in your journal...

And the game is still possible to solo for most parts, but the last part of the game should be a challenge, I'm guessing it'd still be possible to solo most of it (not sure if EB himself will be possible, and you'd need 2 switch pulelrs anyways).

Basically join a clan with some good members and crew with them ;D
It's no fault of the devs. D: Play with young, inexperienced twerps, and assume you're going to see idiocy and lameness from time to time.

Solution: Farm Cherry Fluffs for a while. biggrin

Lol never thought of that. OK!
*leaves massive clan I'm in right now*
My clan has 4 members. And nobody is ever online. But I always crew anyways. : D

If it's impossible, tell me how I was able to make an entire guide on doing it. neutral It's not hard, you just can't get in over your head.

So whose fault is it when the devs make design decisions to make it impossible to solo what they are advertising as a casual mmo.

Whose fault is it when the devs make design decisions designed to penalize solo players? rolleyes
It is kindof annoying to find good crew members. In the beginning I used to hate making crews because people would either leave when things got hard or just plain suck and not listen to rules. ( "Idiot! I told you guys to gather for healing! Don't get mad at us just because we didn't heal you. You were too far away!" )

I was in the Aqueduct hunting for the commander when I was in my first GOOD crew. One guy added me and then they helped me with the commander before going to the hive and we tried that a few times. I made friends with some of them and it was great! They showed me what a good crew was like. Not just fighting or orb farming. They actually used the chat box alot and it was a lot of fun to hang with them. They made ZOMG a lot funner.

After being in that crew I started making more friends in ZOMG and now I'm rarely online without at least ONE friend being in the same server as me.

I prefer to be in crews with at least one of my friends, but sometimes i luck out and find good crews with people I've never played with before. I've noticed that if you use the chat and actually make a connection with your fellow crew members, they're less likely to leave the crew or get mad at each other.

My first time doing SS/EB, we were stuck together for over 2 hours trying to get through the whole thing. (We had three CL 10, and 3 CL 8.something.

Crews can sometimes be good, and sometimes suck. I guess it just depends on luck and your own attitude. If you go into a crew expecting it to suck then it will.
Maybe it's just me, but most clans seem to be a closed circle of people who already know each other well, so I find it hard to join any of them.. ;n; It doesn't help that a lot of experiences players have their friends and refuse to crew with others.
It's pretty hard to find a good crew.. Sometimes you will be lucky and find an especially cooperative crew, but that's rare and depends on what time of the day you're online.
I wouldn't mind some solo challenges, but it is an mmo you should expect some sense of needing a crew to accomplish some feat. Otherwise you might as well be playing a single player game.

INDIVIDUALITY IS BAD.
The only part of this game that you can't solo is the end scenario (the Shallow Seas series).

However, that being said, I would venture to suggest that the real problem you're discussing is Rock Armor and the way it works currently in the game.

As I've mentioned before, the rings are going to get a big overhaul soon and things are going to get balanced in many different ways.

One of the systems that's going to get overhauled is the armor system, and there will be far fewer rings that are "Ally Only". So the situation that you describe will not be pertinent after those changes.

Those changes are likely to happen soon. We've already begun investigation into them. ("Soon" should be measured in weeks, not days. wink

Casual being a game that you can pick up and play anytime without having to worry about crewing up to save yourself? You don't have to worry about that for most areas except the Underwater Series, as even Hive can be solo'ed to some extent. Compared to Village Greens, Bill's Ranch, Zen Gardens, Bass'ken Lake, Old Aqueduct, Gold Beach, and Otami Ruins, there's no reason to believe that solo'ing has been restricted in all parts of zOMG completely.

Just the one area we all want to go into.

EDIT: gonk I got Saboo'd by Qixter!
