Have you seen this warning before:


It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue!


Because apparently it doesnt exist but i dont believe that. I dont believe that because I have gotten this "grue warning" twice and the first time a grue came shortly after however the second is today...
I warned the crew that I got this warning and they all claimed i didnt know what I was talking about so...

I want to know:

Why would zomg warn you of the grue? Never seen that warning before i just know that when he strikes im alive lately because of my solar <3

The grue comes around 12 in the ingame time.

It kills everyone without solar rays.

But it's not so bad so don't worry about it.

No. This Easter egg predates even the planning of DMS back in 2008.

You get that warning at midnight (Gaia time) in DMP - not inside DMS. As others said, it's a tribute to the old text adventure game Zork. Unlike in Zork, you never get eaten. You certainly never actually see a grue. It's just a whimsy.

Of course, once you're inside DMS you may get eaten.
