Oh, I'm definitely going for the Medic set. But I guess I'm not going to put two sets together, just the Medic and some other rings.
My Build: Lucky Debris!( One-Set Build)

Angelic Set + Fitness(Luck!), Guns Guns Guns, Solar Rays, Shuriken!!!

I use all the long-range moves and throw them all at the opponent like scattering debris (Hunter's Bow included)!

I can find more loot with this as well.

That's probably more flexible. And even though you're avoiding the chef set, get teflon spray. It's a great ring, that's apparantly a life saver in the higher level areas.

edit: @keito: I might try that...luck is always nice, but ranged too...wow!
Standard Build: Full-On Fighter!

Offense: Mantis, Hack, Slash and Bump (short-range only)

Defense: Turtle (really useful), Rock Armor (for allies), Ghost (to dodge), Adrenaline (for allies). Add them all together and you get Defense/Evasion bonuses for you and your allies!!!

This combo works for melee fighters!

But of course, I was in the beta threads where this guy was rambling about Teflon Spray.

I think I'm going for Medic + Teflon Spray + Pot Lid + Divinity + <undecided: Knife Sharpen, Wish, Fleet Feet, Coyote Spirit
edit: Fitness might work)

I just got Water Balloon, and I didn't realize just how much of a Stamina Drain it is. Thankfully, with Fitness at CL2, I can recover how much Stamina is needed to pull off the move every second. So this set has its good side and bad side.

One-Set Builds

A.K.A. character builds with one set and four other rings. There are none yet, so please feel free to post about some you've been working on!

Oh, so that's what I've been working towards! I didn't know that's what it's called.

Anyway, I have the Chef Set if only for the denfensive boost and to have Teflon Spray, but the other rings I'm looking into are all AoE rings.

Basically, my ring set is going to be the Chef Set plus the following:

Dervish
Fire Rain
Heavy Water Balloon
Fitness

I don't like mobs, but at the same time I like to hit as many enemies and cause as much damage with as little effort as possible. sweatdrop So this is great when Soloing and I find myself in the middle of an Aggro because I killed a buddy. It also helps in Crew settings because, in theory, I can "buff and bump" allies and baddies, which has always been a difficult thing to do in ANY kind of RPG setting.

If anything, I'd like to think that this set is great for a Habachi Cook. Those guys love to cook and show off for a large group of people, and the Habachi Chefs I've had in the past just love to play pranks on me (hence Water Balloon).
This is one that I kind of enjoy using, the stamina boost from the demon is amazing!
And hotfoot and rain of fire may be used simountanously (sp?) To produce massive damage! With all of the stamina regeneration, then with the jester set it has an added chance to dodge. Plus the ability to slow monsters so you can run, and improbability sphere which reflects even MORE damage. So when you are hit, there's a chance it'll miss, and the stamina regen comes in handy so you can nuke even more damage in in long term battle.. Down side to this.
crying You need to use orbs to power level rain to do amazing damage. But you have no healing spells. So you may have to sit down for hp if soloing, if in crews, you will definitly be the major damage. Just make sure your crew knows to put a healer on you. I like to call the demon and jester build harlequin, but if that's offensive to guys. You may change the name however you like.
But for the inverse of that!
In a lot of other games, I've always been the buffer/healer.
Shaman has amazing buffs. Medic has awesome heals and revival.
So with all the shaman buffs on your crew they have a huge advantage when taking down above-level monsters, and you can heal at will, and if it gets messy, you can back up a few zones, and come back to revive everyone.
Not reccomended for solo because you only have 1 real attack which is hornets nest, and that's an aoe so you might get more attention than planned. The HP and will power boost will help ensure that you live, for if you live, your crew may live again once it's safe to revive them. This set I like to call prophet, because with out one, the battle of an outcome is make or break. With one of these, the battle may be turned to such a nice slant, all the buffs, heals.

(I've played both, but currently I like the angel set, and 4 rings for other use, I use solar ray, defirb, hot foot, and ghost. It might just be me, but I seem to get orbs a lot faster with angel set on ;P)
ok so i have used iron chef and i found it to be amazeing but with one major drawback.....the stanima drain on trying to keep all your buffs up is rough. i mean i can attack and be near imposible to hit (expecialy if i have group members who add their buffs on) but the more people you try to buff up the less stanima you have when fighting. yes your anamazeing tank at that point but damage reduction can only go so far

That set is horrible. you might as well use ninja for the right hand, and use teflon to replace bump on the left hand, since it has the same effect as turtle and rock armor.

yup its realy usefull
thanks for this useful info
Thanks, this was quite helpful! <3

Mmm....I was in the closed beta, but didn't get too far, and since this account was made in 08 (Abandoned my older account due to a stalker), I can't play just yet. But I plan to have a combination of Angel and Medic (Guardian Angel?), does anyone else have this combo, or is it a bad idea? When it comes to MMOs, I prefer to be the "healer" of the group, but like to have some offense. Did I even make any sense.... ^^;
I love this guide <3

I wrote this guide on zOMG etiquette and would like to exchange links with you x:

The guide is 65% done, but I have finished the two major sections regarding solo and crew etiquette. I appreciate any and all comments and additions.
