Welcome to Gaia! ::

This is a very helpful guide, though it seems to gloss over the weaknesses of some sets (for example, Angel's Healing Halo is not as strong a heal as some might like.)

That's because I wrote up most of it thus far from personal experience and haven't used some of them enough to really weigh their pros and cons.
very nice guide! thanks! heart

Would "Pirate Ninja" be a good 2 set build?.
i don't have any personal experience, but i have to say it look promising, and if i ever find a dedicated crew i'd love to use it in a melee striker type role.

think about it, pirate has some of, if not the best offenses in the game, plus the accuracy of keen aye, then ninja gives you a dodge bonus, with three more attacks, serving similar, but unique roles. you go in there, unload pirate attacks as appropriate, using mantis if you just want to shave off a little HP, or if you need stamina, dervish can knock off a mob if it gets too big for you, and hell, running six attack rings and two self-buffs at the very least will make sure you know that your purpose is to kill things, and not give you delusions of a support role, which'd just get you stuttering in your onslaught.

the one problem i could see is burning stamina waaay too fast.
Ninja Medic?
Untouchable healer who can focus their all on healing the group without getting hit?
Could call it, a Battlemedic sinse they can be smack dab in the action. And sinse they're untouchable, they can sit and recover STA really quickly to continue healing

well let me contribute a bit =]

i run a demonic ninja build...this allows me to run around and get ALL the enemies to follow me that are orange/green and then spam fire rain and dervish...i call it aoe tanking cause your teammates can just pick them off while you hit all of them at once. a team mate can use teflon.

btw long exactly does teflon last?
I was going to suggest this. xd

Two of the people I crew with regularly use this, and it works out really well for entering areas early and wiping everything out. Get your dodge high enough to the point where others can't touch you, then you a mix of fire rain and dervish to drive them all out. It gets to the point where you'll have 15 mobs on you without taking any damage.

lol make that 3 now after seeing how the demonic set bonus blows~ I'm switching angelic set for ninja and taking off Iron will and Cat off and switch them for some useful rings...even though Cat is pretty awesome...

Got really tired of watching myself run in circles for my life while Mage could tank right in with the nice dodge T~T ahhh I will miss you demonic/angelic set...<3

glad you like my build xD...btw...WHY CAT?! TT^TT

XD cause it only works on a single target if it was an aoe then I would consider keeping it. I also initially was thinking of going Chef/nin nin mode ...but couldn't resist collecting demonic/angelic sets and give them a try X_X btw biggrin dodging is awesome~
I plan to use a Medic/Prankster combo when I get to play zOMG! (most likely today)...What would a Medic+Prankster be...?

Btw, nice guide =D
An excellent guide, thank you. I am personally hoping to go with a Ninja Chef build, it will be fun to be impossible to hurt.

I'm going for a tank pirate right now. I'm planning to have the pirate set, 3 healing and maybe another ranged attack just in case. Right now I'm thinking diagnose, meat, fitness and... idk, I'm using level 1 fire rain as a place holder right now. xD I still need to get hold of slash and keen aye though.
Thanks for adding my Athlete/Chef build. Hopefully, the 2008 gaians can play today, and I'll be able to go online, to try the set out for myself. I'll post anything interesting I find back here :]

Question: I've been trying to decide what ring set to use when I finally get past the 104. I wanted to play support type (but I don't wanna play Chef because I don't like Meat).

I'm wondering, what does Wish do? The explanation wasn't very clear. It regenerates some HP for every hit the target sustains?

I'll try to answer ya :]

I haven't tried wish, though I think I've seen it being used during my time in the zETA. It seems to heal some HP of a single crew member. I dunno anymore more than that.

If you wanna go support, but want to avoid the chef set, try the medic set. And because the medic regains HP faster thanks to it's set bonus, it'll go well with a close combat attacker, like the pirate set, or the ninja set :]
