what is the best way to do buff check?

There's a few different ways of doing a buff check. Personally, I keep a notepad document saved with the DMS buffs in it and then will write people's names next to their buffs. This is also handy if someone has to leave in a hurry and doesn't let you know what they were carrying.

Some people keep their buffs together in their ringtray (I do this too), so that it's easy to pair off buffs and see what is missing. You can drag the rings you've assigned out of their slots, so you can see what's left.

I'd also suggest this handy app made by Z!F user Tsukino. If you add this to your bookmarks, it helps you keep track of what buffs you need to assign.
