I'm CL 9.8 and I don't know where I am in the plot. I remember going into an underwater place but not being able to get through it. Do you know where this is and how I can get past it to move on in the game?

Shallow Seas - it's up in the water off of Gold Beach, just go to the whirlpool - you'll need a crew of at least three, as there's a three switch door you need to get through.

That's technically the end of the storyline. There IS a new area - Dead Man's Shadow - that's reached from the Dead Man's Pass area. I *highly* recommend checking this forum and reading up on a guide or two about it before attempting a run. It's a high end area (you can take rings to 12.0 using "shadow orbs" only found there) and VERY difficult. There's a very evolved playstyle that goes with it now.
