I am on the garlic quest. Yet I can't plant the garlic...

So..What am I doing wrong?

Move to the topmost patch of brown dirt in the field. You should get a message saying you planted it.

Did you collect the sprouts AFTER you got the quest?

And are you going one screen NORTH of where Purvis is? NOT the screen he's on?

Err...No I didn't. So I have to collect spouts...o_o
