So, by null chamber do you mean the null chamber we go to when we get dazed or something similar for the animated. Do you think we could we ever venture out (we would need wings Dx) across the null instead of staying in the tiny part that we can walk on? And perhaps come across animated? (Boss Rush Mode)

Well, we could theorize all we want, I still think that the dev's didn't really give it much thought anyways, and they're just using void because its cool.

Also, from the text in KKD's battle it sounds like the energy from the dead dolls flows into KKD, which makes me think that it may just be nothingness that the energy is simply turned into new animated, although Goosey sounds like she is exactly the same being as she was before she died.

EDIT: Although it sounds like the energy is around you, maybe only bosses and semi bosses are powerful enough to go to the void? Or the dolls are held there by the doll so she can feed on their power?

:O Maybe it's a torture room for failing? But that would mean there's somebody stronger and more powerful than all of them. Or maybe they're just strong enough to survive and the Void is just a powerful current of G'hi that tears weaker animated apart.

I like this theory it makes me think of how Hallows become Arancar and Espadas your theory makes sense and a Boss Russ mode would be cool I wouldnt mine cutting down a stronger Duneslam cause it only took one run for me an my friend :O

and you're wondering how can something return from nothingness, but you forget that Goosey appeared out of nothing IN FIRST PLACE! maybe it just happens... We did use rings on them, and rings are a way of phisically manifesting ghi, so in a way, we're giving them a way of returning too by feeding them.

But Goosey sounded like she was the same being she was before she died when she came back.

Although the KKD sounds like she is all the dolls, are all animated the same being or do they have separate minds?

Well, the rings are actually gotten by defeating the animated. When you defeat an animated, the g'hi it had transfers itself into loot, rings, orbs, and then whats left over transfers itself to the "void" where the animated reforms because of the mass of g'hi energy that exists there.

Now, how do the animated grow in numbers? When a person uses their rings, some g'hi used up is transferred to the biosphere. This g'hi energy then manifests itself into more animated.
