Welcome to Gaia! ::

I see everyone buying and selling rings but I'm not sure how to do it myself?
Do you have to get up to a certain level or something?

You can't.
The ones on the MP are grandfathered exceptions from when zOMG started. All new rings are soulbound. Event/CS rings are an exception. Fortune's Favor, Sweetheart and Sugar Rush are always unbound.

This is outlined quite a lot here.
What DarkSniper said. You just can't.
I guess I don't understand cause I have the same rings as what's in marketplace and I can't sell mine.
If they can sell their's should anybody else?

Actually, you don't have the same rings. The ones are the marketplace are quite old. They have not been equipped since December 2008! That's what keeps them tradeable.

They're really not worth as much as the marketplace says, though. You'd have difficulty selling them, soulbound or not.

they were the very very first rings before they started locking them as long as they dont wear them they remain unlock.

reason why you can sell rings anymore cause it would ruin the game.

god millions of people ask this question every day damn! make it an sticky so people know why they ant sell their rings anymore.

The rings that are being sold are from the first few weeks of zOMG! before they started making it to where all the rings were soulbound.
It was just confusing to me and probably everyone else.
I mean if they don't want people to sell and trade their rings cause it's cheating then they shouldn't have allowed it in the first place.
All it does is confuse people and trick them into thinking if they level up their ring high enough itwill be sellable and worth a lot of gold.
They should make a annoucement or something cause no one REALLY reads the newbie guide or anything.
my oppion on the matter.

There used to be a sticky on the matter, but nobody read that. Hence why it's archived now.

People make mistakes. That gameplay decision was decided to be a mistake.

Yeah but if it was a mistake then why don't they just take zomg items out of trades and mp?
I'm not a game engineer but that would ideal, would it not?

Because not all zOMG items are soulbound. Some rings now aren't soulbound.

Then make them, the old ones too.
Take down marketplace listings and the trade option WHICH in a sense they already have.
If you can make it where you can't trade the new rings now; why not extend it to all?
Then you end us being confused and people cheating.
Problem solved.

I just said some rings now don't soulbind. Problem not solved.

Hoarders of age old rings and permanently unbound rings would be unhappy.

It's only confusing to those that aren't familiar with the history. Which I can't blame you or anyone else for.
